Chocolate sweets to treats 16/07/2010

I still got pieces of chocolate from my last travel. Here are some of it…
I dont really eat chocolates a lot. But when chocolate is made into cupcakes, cakes, cookies or brownies, I would love to eat it. So for me to enjoy those chocolates I made them into a wonderful treat.
Tada!!!!

Chocolate Brownies. Its super chocolaty. Not to sweet, just perfect for my taste. It’s great with a cup of coffee or tea.
Oh if you want the recipe, I posted it in my other blog. Hope you will try it.
So it’s Friday once again. TGIF everyone!
My comfort food and childhood 14/07/2010
Posted by jeanny in Treats.10 comments
Sopas… is a comfort food that gives me a warm feeling inside and it brings the emotional ties and the identification with what my family usually have on the dining table during rainy days. Its the comfort food that was an everyday part of our family meals while growing up.
So up to now, whenever the rainy season is here, I always think of making sopas. It only takes a taste for me to travel back in time as It brings back my fun moments as a child.
By the way, we have a storm right now here in the Philippines. Ingat kayo mga friends.
My secret to a Happy Monday 12/07/2010

I agree with what health experts says that breakfast is the important meal and it provides the fuel we need for the day. Therefore, I cannot miss it.
If I am tamad to make sandwhich for breakfast I’d go fastfood like mcdo or jollibee (in Ayala).
Like this morning I had longanisa meal. A heavy breakfast that is enough to keep me going throughout the entire day.
Sarap….but….
I do hope sooner, I will learn to wake up a bit earlier (I usually get up at 5:15am when going to work). So I can eat a healtier breakfast at home.
Happy new week dear friends.
Watermark my Photos 07/07/2010
Posted by jeanny in Extremes.15 comments
I dont really put watermarks on photos I share here and in my other blog. I believe that it’s tacky and besides I am no professional photographer so I dont have to worry on my photos being stolen but I was wrong.
It happened to me thrice. I somehow let pass the two incidents but the third one which for me was too much…..somebody used my photo in her blog entry and place her own site name on my original photo.
I emailed that person, telling her that I am mad for what she did. Told her to remove the said photo in that blog entry. She responded and remove it but it is still uploaded in her blog account. I googled to check. I emailed her again to totally remove it. Up to now, she has not perform any action on my email. sigh! Just irritating.
These people simply don’t care about the rights of content creators. Its just a matter of being respectful to others property.
So from now on whether my photos are worthy or not, I will put my watermarks. Its my craft and I will protect it from unauthorized use online.

Similar to a set of billiard balls on a billiard table, we influence one another. When one ball knocks against each other, even with a gentle hit, we bounce, we roll in another direction.
Like in our lives, we sometimes get affected with other people’s act but with God’s guidance in every undertaking we are heading to the right path.
I will hold unto this.
Have a wonderful weekend everyone.
Weekend Rambling 28/06/2010

Hello everyone. Thanks for the get well soon messages each of you left in my previous entry. I feel much better now though still sniffing a bit because of slight cold but as I said, I am getting better. The 2 days off from work works.
How was your weekend?
Mine was fantastic. Finally, we were able to watch A-team. Husband keeps on bugging me for us to watch the movie, it’s not that I dont like it, I grew up with this tv series. Its just that there are more nice movies to watch like prince of persia, sex and the city 2, toy story 3. For 3 consecutive weeks, we saw each movie. So I guess it’s his turn to decide on what shall we watch. hahaha!
So okay since I’m feeling much better, I am back to cooking. Yesterday, I prepared Fish Fillet With Mushroom Gravy for dinner. Hubz love it. This very easy recipe will be added to my household menu.
I posted the recipe here if your interested.
After my cooking stint last night, I noticed my hands are looking awful. Poor hands. The fix, I decided to do my own nail coloring…on both feet and hands.
tada!!!!
Wala lang feel ko lang magpaka kikay. Pag balik na naman kasi sa work, sobrang busy again that I wont have time to do my own or visit a salon to have mani and pedi.
Guess, thats about it, I’ll visit your blogs later on. For now have a fab week. See yah later.

Its been raining in the evening and hot in the morning and even hotter in the afternoon. With this changing weather, it has made a dent on my immune system.
Cough and colds isn’t leaving me so hubz decided to bring me to a doctor. Now there are medicines to take and enough rest to make. I hope this weekend I will be better na. I dont want to be sick on a weekend. Sayang ang pasyal
Well, its a Friday na. Have a good weekend, everyone.
Toy Story 3 22/06/2010

Much like Harry Potter and Shrek, I’ve been counting down the days until “Toy Story 3” comes out this June 17! I was in college when I saw Toy Story 1 and was in my first job when I saw Toy Story 2. Now I’ve been working for a decade and married. Still I am eager to watch Woody and Buzz Lightyear again.
So this last weekend hubz and I watched it in Digital 3D Cinema at SM Fairview. We had freebies upon buying the tickets. I had a tumbler of popcorn while hubz picked a sandwhich hotdog. Sulit na rin and Php 250.
No spoilers here but I can say that there are a bit tense scenes, (yeah medyo na tense ako promise hahaha) more alike to an action film. Nevertheless, its still an entertaining flick filled with lots of fun stuffs.
Have you watch Toy Story 3. Did you like it too?

Good Morning.
Whats your breakfast for today?
Mine…well its sausage mc muffin with coffee lang.
If your a sausage mc muffin fan, you will notice here that the sandwhich was wrapped in a different paper. Actually, I did noticed that when the crew place the sandwhich on my tray. I think he saw my confused look so he immediately said…
“ma’am its sausage mc muffin, we just ran out of its original wrapper. later pa po and delivery ng wrappers.”
Mega explain ba…natawa na lang ako sa kanya.
Anyway…its again another challenging week. I will be busy with some commitments at work. Hands are full again. Oh well, work is one reason why my life is exciting!
Do have a splendid week and see yah later!
Commuter Life 18/06/2010
Posted by jeanny in One day.7 comments
Cinnamon roll and a cup of steaming coffee was so perfect that it soothed my tired body after the pushing and squeezing inside the sardine packed MRT train…hay ang hirap maging commuter lalo na pag rush hour sa MRT.
So after that horrible ride this afternoon, I looked for a nice place to just seat, relax, have somthing to eat and play plant vs zombies (yeah addict na ko sa game na ito, hahaha)
Buti na lang talaga masarap ang cinnamon roll at coffee ng Le Coeur de France. Nakakabawas tense.
Happy weekend by the way!

The other day I made batches of mocha cupcakes for my MIL’s birthday party. I had fun doing this recipe, its been a long time since I bake cupcakes and most of all its my first time to try marshmallow frosting. So glad that her guest loved my cupcakes.
Since I got back from Sydney, Its my 2nd time to use my oven. Why? Tinatamad ako, hahaha! But I am now sure that my baking lust is now back. This mean you’ll see more of my baking goodies here.
Oh If you want to try this cupcake recipe you can grab it in my foodie blog .
Have a nice day everyone!
My Fave thing next to my bags 12/06/2010

It is sometime heartbreaking when your at the restaurant and you don’t have and extra chair or a place where you can safely put your most loved handbag, you then ended up placing it on the floor or just put it on your lap. Ako kasi when I place it on my lap, I feel uncomfortable lalo na if my bag is big.
Gladly there this great gadget that solved this little problem of mine.
Tada….
The non-foldable bag hook
They keep your bags in sight and in style. So your bag will always be safe beside you. They are incredibly lightweight, yet sturdy and compact. slips easily into any bag or pocket when not in use.
To use it, simply un-fold its hinge hook and place it securely on any tabletop and your bag is safe from the icky floors.
I bought mine at the department stores. It ranges from 180-350 depending on the design.
So girls do you have this na if you still dont have, I tell you, you will love it.
happy weekend
