Whoa, time flies so fast. The “ber month is starting and Christmas, the world’s most awaited time of the year is just a few months away.
Some people are now getting ready for their Christmas shopping. I might be doing that too in a few weeks to avoid the rush and impulsive buying.

Let me share some tips I do to save time and money when shopping presents for my friends and loved ones.

1. Shop for good quality Items that is within the budget. Christmas is a time to buy gifts for others, so you don’t want to buy poor quality goods that will last only a few months. Look for durable items that will remind your recipient of your love throughout the coming year.

2. If you’re buying online; make sure that the website is safe. Read reviews or forums about that website. You definitely want your credit card information to stay secure. Further, if you will experience problems regarding your items, you can contest the charge.

3. Always make a list. One way to save money this Christmas would be to prepare a list well in advance. Don’t head out to the store only with your cash and credit card in hand. No to Impulse shopping.

4. Special wrapping. Christmas gifts are more than just gifts. They reflect the sentiments of the giver. You can be creative is wrapping your gifts without spending a lot. Here is a great site that can give you ideas on how to creatively wrap your gifts.

5. Shop early. Dont wait until December to start your shopping. Shop when something catches your fancy. You can store it away for Christmas day! Besides, buying things early will avoid you from the crowd of shoppers and the christmas rush.

5. Look for Discounts. Make best use of them! Keep your eyes open for a good bargain. However, don’t compromise on quality!

6. Most of all, do enjoy the shopping even though we are spending a little bit that our usual spending, Christmas is just once a year lang naman.

Sophie Kinsella’s Twenties Girl is already out in the bookstores, and here I am still finishing the Shapaholic Series, katamaran kasi.  hahaha!

I enjoyed reading The Confession of a Shapaholic and fell in love with Becky and Luke’s character in Shapaholic takes Manhattan, now I am trying my best to finish this equally fun book 3, Shapaholic Ties the Knot. This book had been in my shelf for almost two years na yata, much glad that I finally  decided to finish it in a couple of days. Keeping my fingers crossed :)

So enjoyed the rest of the non-work day so that tomorrow will be off to a fresh start.

I woke up this morning and the first thing that came into mind was what day it was today. I then remembered looking at the calendar last night and felt excited all over again, hahaha. It’s Thursday already! And once Thursday ends, Friday’s just around the corner and that means another week of no work. Yebah.

Things have been working out pretty well for me since I started here in my work almost 9 months ago. I’m not too stressed, I’m not overworked, and I can access my blog accounts here which means I can blog anytime I want. Just too awesome.

Another thing, I don’t really have do overtime here so I can spend more time at home or go out friends after work. I so love this 9 month old job.

So okay, got to click the publish button and It’s time for work.

Sorry for the lack of posts. I can’t tell you  how happy I am that today is Friday. This week has been a really exhausting one.  I am looking forward to just enjoy the two days off with hubz and catching up on my sleep.

Weisberger Shoe Box

All three best-selling novels of  Lauren Weisberger-´The Devil Wears Prada´, ´Everyone Worth Knowing´ and ´Chasing Harry Winston´- in a wonderful shoe-box-style gift set.  It priced at Php 755 at National Bookstore but they were on sale so I got a 20% discount.  Aint it something ?

Now I am starting to read The Devil Wears Prada. I already watched and  love the movie and I think It’s about time for me to love the novel too. Guess  for this week, reading will keep me busy.

PadThai

This weekend I felt inspired to cook something new in my kitchen. For me PadThai (or any other Thai dish) is a complicated dish to make, but when I did the cooking of the PadThai, it’s not that hard after all.

Like what I did in cooking my paella, a little more practice will make me master this dish.

The weekend was so relaxing that I dont want it to end but then again, I have to face reality that its Monday and I have to go back to work.
