Few more hours another year is about to leave and a new one will soon be with us. Though there were some ups and downs, I consider this year as a great year for us.
There were lots of blessings. I’m so overwhelmed. God is so good to us.
I will not enumerate anymore all these blessing because there were so many to tell. But if you still want to know these great blessings, you can pick any month at the right side of this blog and chose any entries and you’ll see what I mean.

When time is not enough November 19, 2005

I was really having troubles in adjusting my time. With work, with my small business and me being a wife. O-oww…
Bad, bad me. I just can’t imagine, Im a good employee. I render overtime when needed and finish my work before deadline. I’m good business owner. I handle the business seriously but the wifely thing, boooh, a loser. Yeah I do still cook, but not as the real cooking that I’ve been doing before. Hubby’s been eating fried fish for 2 days, sauté corned beef the other night and been eating those processed foods which I bought from the grocery. Then visiting Dexie’s blog made me yearn my real cooking and my green apron as well. I miss the sinigang, the nilaga, the kare-kare and I know hubby misses them too. He just couldn’t complain because he too is busy with our shop as the tech guy. Though we have 2 assistant, he prefered to personally attend to those PC problem that our clients are experiencing. Then reading toni ’s latest post, hits me. My closet is a total mess now. What did happen to misis organize. Hello, where are you. Wake up girl. Manage your time. I made a promise that I will clean our closet. It’s been 2 weeks now but I haven’t moved and inch. I make my work an excuse for not doing so. Bad me…bad me again. Im really having troubles here.
Mom suggests hiring a maid, but I opted not to. I know I can solve this time management dilemma. It’s just that were having adjustment little by little. Soon everything will fall in its right places. For the meantime, Dj should learn to love my quick cooking and mining his blue shirt in our messy closet.

Hey…Im back after a week of hiatus. It wasn’t really a hiatus; I’m just a bit busy with work. Up to now, I haven’t talked with my boss, he seems to be very busy and was always out in the office but my supervisor asked me to stay a little longer than pursuing my one-month stay and leave plan. My mind says I can stay but my inner self says I have to go. Sigh.
I’ve asked my hubby to help me decide on this. After a couple of talks with him and after weigh some points, we finally come up with a decision of staying ATLEAST until December. Who knows I might win the grand prize at the Christmas party, just joking
Anyway, due to some problems regarding our plan in opening a computer shop biz, our plans was on hold a bit but, Im glad to tell that after a month and a half of waiting, our prayers had been answered. So by next week, we will be starting to fix the place up (the shop). Paint the walls; replace the door & window with a new one. Clean..clean..clean. That will make us busy this weekend. Im so excited.
I’ve mentioned in my previous post that Im liking the idea of baking since I’ve started to bake a simple chocolate cake 2 weeks ago. Then I tried making another one last week and Dj said that it was yummier than the first one. Yehey.. Made me more eager to learn. Now, since we will be going at my in-laws tomorrow, hubby asked if I could bake another one for them. So I’ll be making one later and this time, I’ll make my own filling and frosty which I found the recipe online, wohooo…Im more excited.
I’ll make kwento ha, if they will love my cake. tee-hee
Lost in Emotions September 27, 2005

Im not in the mood today. I really don’t know why. I feel crying with no reason at all. In my inner being, I feel the heaviness of my emotions. I really don’t know why. Yeah I know, I said before Im an optimistic person but at this moment, Im trying with all my strength to be in good shape but I just can’t.
I don’t want to talk much to anybody right now. I just want to sit in front of my pc and tell you guys how I feel. Im not like this. Im a cheerful person, a talkative one but at this moment, I feel very low. What’s with me? Hubby and I didn’t fight nor I didn’t argue with anybody here. Sigh.
I guess, I’ll be like this for the rest of the day 
Happening and Some Thoughts September 21, 2005

Im back to work. Sigh.
My vacation heaven is through. I was thinking of not showing up here after my vacation but of course I cannot do that, mahirap na ma-AWOL. Being out of the work force for a month…lots of things happened here . Some are nice while others are not so nice. And Im not sharing with you guys those not so nice things simply because I don’t want you to feel bad din.
Anyway, the bowling tournament started 3 weeks ago and the championship will be this Friday. This is one of the most awaited event next to summer outing and Christmas bonuses , because it’s the time where all employees can enjoy the game without thinking of any projects, deadlines or any work related stints. Here, our only goal is to gain points, win and be the best. I haven’t join the last 3 games but surely I’ll play on Friday and hopefully team 7 (where I belong) will win the championship. 
Then, there are lots of new faces here. Mostly are fresh grads. Come to think of it…Im a senior na pala. When I was hired here I was the youngest… now, Im the oldest in my batch already since the other resigned. That’s why most of them used “po” & “opo”. Feel ko tuloy matanda na ko, lolz. Time really fly so so fast.
What else…ah the company has given the half of the 13th month 2 weeks ago. Actually it was a little late. Before it was given as early as May. But still we are very thankful
That’s about it. Those were the good news that made not only me happy but the other employees as well.
On a different note…
Since yesterday, people keep asking me if I’ll push through with my plan of leaving. I just answered back with a smile, thinking that they know what I mean about it. I have said before what I want and what I want is what I’ll do. Sometimes…it’s tiring to explain things when they simply don’t like to understand what you’re saying. I mean…I have said what I want to do but they keep on insisting this and that. I really appreciate their advices…all will be kept in my heart and my mind but I have my own plans and besides, I know I’ll be happy with it
By the way, I haven’t talked with boss yet. Im finding the right time to talked to him again. Guess I got to wait next week.

My Breakfast September 12, 2005

I woke up in the wrong side of the bed this morning. I don’t want to get up nor move an inch of my bones. But I have to…its past 9am. Then I look around and see that whole place was a total mess. Made me feel even more bad. I have to do something with all the mess. Got to fix the clothes, put the shoes in the shoe cab. Wash the dishes that hubby left earlier. My oh my….
Well first thing first…I have to have the energy in doing all of these. How will I do that, of course with a good yummy breakfast. So this morning I had this…
Tocino and fried rice
For the fried rice, I used the same pan where I fried my tocino; it adds a richer flavor to the sinangag…and who would even forget that tocino and sinangag would be much yummier with sliced tomatoes and little patis (fish sauce). So there, that was my breakfast. After that I was lighthearted in doing all the cleaning in here.

Im very tired. Know why…I just finished ironing tons of clothes. In all the house chores I least like…it’s ironing. I love to cook, I enjoy doing the laundry, can clean the watercloset and bathroom but ironing, man…oh man… Sometimes, I’m wondering if people were used in wearing unpressed clothes…then there’s no need to iron… silly me, he he he.
But tell you, Im good in pressing clothes. Im not satisfied if the shirt or jeans are not smoothened. I make it a point that my ironing is at it’s best. Tiring yes…hate it…a little but the only thing that rewards me is when Dj compliments his nice pressed clothes.
Btw, I’ll be returning to work a week from now so I thought of checking my shoes. Then I realize I haven’t bought a pair of slip-on in months. So tomorrow, I’ll be heading at the mall to buy a new one

Im in my 2nd day of leave from work. So what’s been keeping me busy around here. Been cleaning some mess aside from that Im a little busy with reading, finishing the books that I haven’t done in ages.
These are the books that have been seating in my shelf and needs some dusting. I haven’t tried opening any of them for a long time. Since I have more time (28 days more), guess I’ll keep myself busy in reading while sipping my freshly brewed coffee.
Easy Does it August 13, 2005

I was at the grocery the other day, while I was pushing my cart, I spotted the pre-marinated teriyaki pork strips of Monterey at the meat section. Since I was running out of ideas for dinner, I opted to buy a half-kilo of it. When the butcher handed me the package of the item I bought, I then realize, I haven’t tried cooking pork teriyaki yet. I know its an easy recipe but I don’t know how to start. Hmmm…
While I was in the middle of thinking on how to prepare pork teriyaki, I saw this.
Kikkoman teriyaki marinade & sauce with roasted garlic
At first I was hesitant to buy it. I was worried if the teriyaki sauce with roasted garlic will goes well with the pre-marinated pork that I bought. Since this kikkoman sauce is something new to me, so im not sure of it. I thought I should have spotted this bottle first and bought a fresh pork instead and use the sauce as it’s marinate. Oh well, I have to trust my taste buds (and the kikkoman brandname of course).
At home, I tried tasting the sauce. It was yummy and the flavor of the roasted garlic made it much tasty. I guess I made a right decision anyway. I then prepared all the ingredients and started hitting the stove.
So what I did here…
Drizzle some oil in the pan, just enough to make the pan greasy. Then slide the marinated pork strips. Stir fry until the pork is tender. No need to saute garlic since Im using a flavored garlic sauce. Then pour in the teriyaki sauce. Just enough to cover the meat. I was about to add sugar to sweetend it a bit then I remember that I have a can of pineapple chunk so I opened it, and pour the syrup first. Simmer for say 3 minutes. Then add the chunk pineapple. Then mix. Add a dash of pepper. Then voila an easy pork teriyaki.

Im here at work today. The designing team is still discussing the project so Im here waiting for the inputs they will provide. Im bored so I took a picture of my little working space.
Thank goodness for digicams. In times where myself is a bit bored, I find it relaxing to take pictures of anything. At this moment I have a kodak 3.1 megapixel but I do wanted to have an IXUS or an Exilim. Oh well, that is If I find a way to convince hubby. He aims to have a digital videocam before 2005 ends. On the second thought, taking video is also exciting. I have this software for editting video. I tried editting some family video and it was addicting. Hmmm…I guess have to convince hubby to buy both, he he he.

I wonder… what will the country’s future in all the things that are happening right now. I wonder how many more protest will occur in order to have the so-called democracy. Did we ever had it in the first place?
I wonder…who among them are telling the truth. Is it they or they? Are these people for justice and peace or they are just bound by their money, power and deceitful reasons.
At this time, Im in the middle of confusion. I don’t know who to believe and who to support. The only thing I know is, motherland is suffering and in pain. For we of common race, of common roots don’t unite.
Now, Im hoping. Hoping that hope will come soon.

We’ve cleaned our mess because someone will be checking on us. We’ve been trying to be organized but seems, not all are cooperating, not all believed that we will make it. Some follow rules, some do not. Some loved the change but some really cannot understand it.
Now, that the time has come for us to be seen by those people in position. They’ve asked our moves, our steps our ways. We’ve laid our plans and they studied it. After lots of talk and lots of deliberation, they’ve said were okay and finally gave us the crop that we’ve been wanting.
Hurray for the success… But it doesn’t end here, it doesn’t.
