Girls Fun March 4, 2008

Went out with my 2 girlfriends slash officemate slash gym buddies for a movie date. You know what we watched….sam milby’s movie, My Big Love. It’s a cute movie. Very light ang story. Nakaka relax since we’re so tired from work. All I did while watching the movie was laugh and laugh though at the end part medyo teary ang scene but happy ending pa rin naman. I thought we’ll be doing overtime again. It’s good that we didn’t and instead of going to the gym, we opted to go to gateway and watched the movie na lang.
But before that, we have a serving of the delicious razon halo halo and siomai from dimsun and dumpling. Perfect combination talaga for us halo halo and siomai, hehehe. No calorie computing muna for us. We just wanted to relax and be happy muna. No work related conversation muna. Full fun and chatting is what we did. So heto went home late again and when I get home, hubs said ang tagal ko umuwi and he misses me na, wow sweetness talaga ni hubz. ![]()

The Hundred island experience was really exciting. The water was clear the sand was terrific and the sun was just enough to tan my skin
As i’ve said…I really dont know how to swim. But hubby was really serious in teaching me to learn. From day one of us being together he insisted na I should learn to so i can enjoy. Ewan ko ba Im really scared talaga..scared I might drowm but hubby said there is nothing to be afraid of since he is there and isa pa mababaw lang naman sa kids island hehehe.
So armed with a snorkel…he started to each me again, he was holding my hands while I was doing it. I can swim naman eh kaso dapat hawak nya kamay ko…sana ganun na lang kaso si master (hubby) wanted me to do it by myself wuah….hay naku para kaming bata nagkukulitan.
So I told him dun lang sa medyo mababaw…eh he answered ano ba mababaw lang naman dito hehehe…kulet ko talaga.
So I started to do it by myself…grabe nagawa ko nga…ang sarap ng feeling sarap makita ang ilalim ng dagat
So ayun..pinabayaan nga ko ng Dj…he went to our cottage to ralax while me naman naiwan na nag swim…and tama nga naman siya I wont drown kasi mababaw lang talaga hehehe.
We stayed at Alaminos for 3 days lang…bitin pero we have to go home kasi election day the next day. Hay back to the normal world na naman…
oh well…here are some photos and some stories I wanted to share…

It’s been a while since I last updated here. Grabe more than 3 weeks na ren pla. Where was I that I wasn’t able to get in here?
Well as usual the famous excuse, busy ako sa work. Hehe. Actually hindi naman ako talaga ganun ka busy, it’s just that when I get home, Im tired na talaga. I got so many scheds kasi lately. Last week nga hubz and I were at Alaminos and he was damn serious in teaching me how to swim :).
For 4 years, hindi ako natuto. Matigas kasi ulo ko. Na overcome kasi ako ng takot na I might drown. Ewan ko ba… but last Saturday, I didn’t know why, I overcome my fear. With Dj’s help I slightly learned how to swim and go snorkeling. I’m so happy…. hurray
I’ll post some picture and make kwento about this trip
Anyway, as I’ve mentioned in the last entry, I started working last April 22. So far work is okay, the people are nicer hehehe. Not to mention my American bosses are so cool. Hoping to meet them personally soon. Keeping my fingers cross
This is it for now. Have a great weekend to all!

Busy with work… and by the time you finished you remembered what is left in your fridge is a piece of hotdog. You were about to go to the grocery but it’s closing in 15 minutes.
Don’t panic.
You can still enjoy doing the grocery with out the rush. You can do it at Cost U Less. The store is stepping up operations in the country by offering 24-hour shopping in its branch in Libis, Quezon City. Isn’t that neat. ![]()
We were there last Sunday at 12:30am. We were quite busy and forgot that we don’t have food left in the fridge or even powder detergent. Then I remembered Toni’s email that Cost U Less is a 24/7 store. So we hit the road and went there. The place is really nice and neat. The aisle is so wide, no bumping of pushcarts. Then the prices are just enough, not that pricey compared to those other 24/7 stores.
So if ever you’re near Libis and do wanted to do late night shopping, you now know a place ![]()
And…
Im not really a fan of Pinoy Big Brother but I love the their theme song Pinoy Ako (by Orange N Lemons). Thanks Mec for the copy ha. Now Im playing it over and over. ![]()

Yesterday, our office held a blood donation program with the help of the Department of Health. The project was called
National Voluntary Blood Service Program (NVBSP). Ten employees including me donated 450-500cc of blood. It’s my 2nd year in donating in this program and it really is fulfilling knowing that you’ll be helping those patients suffering from
1.shock
2.lost 20% or more of blood in an accident
3.loss in surgery
4.leukemia
5.childbirth
6.major trauma
7.liver transplants
8.hemophilia
After donating, the people from NVBSP gave us keychains, towels and and IDs where our names and blood type is written.
The needle used in getting blood is a bit bigger, about 2-3mm diameter than that ordinary syringe used to inject or withdraw fluid in hospitals. Believe me, it doesn’t hurt. It’s like, an ant biting you. So Im encouraging you guys to give some and save lives.
Happy Weekdays everyone.

Last Saturday I attended the N@W Christmas party. I’ve been in this egroup for almost 2 years and it’s my first time to attend the Naw Christmas Party. It was really a different experience. It was fun. I met the real people behind the names that I seen in each post that I read in our egroup. I never expected that I’d enjoy such party. There were parlor games for that kids, nanny and of course for the members. Dj came along with me so we join the parlor games as a couple. We didn’t win any game that we participated but we had yummy brownies from Alex Franco as a consolation prize. Aside from the games, I enjoy the exchange gift part. I received an acid free photo album from Leira (a nawie) and I love it very much, timely for my scrapbooking. The party ended at around 2:00pm

Last Monday, was Dj’s Christmas party at Star City. Each employee was given 2 free ride-all-you can tickets. So, I skipped work (bad me, he he he) to join him. I’ve been there twice but not with husby so this time, I much enjoyed it, It was fun. I felt that I was a kid again enjoying the bump car ride, the balloon wheel (ferris wheel) and the breath taking zykloon loop (roller coaster). What an experience! I also did loved the tiange. With my 500 pesos, I had quality toys for my inaanak. I even bought a jelly made Nemo which lights up when pressed by hand. I put it in inside our car and oh the pillow soccer ball was kinda cute for only 90 pesos. I even had the dancing softdrink bottle for 100 pesos. It was definetely a fun filled experience with hubby.

Fernando Poe Jr. passed away yesterday. It was a sad news that affect the whole nation. I am not pro FPJ during the election but I admire the guy in his movies which really made him famous. Where ever he is right now may you rest in peace “the king”
Let’s go at the grocery… October 14, 2004

When I was still single my favorite things to shop was purely clothes, shoes, make up, perfumes and my cosmopolitan magazine. Now that I’m married for a year and a couple of months, my priority changed a bit in buying. I still buy those things (except for cosmopolitan magazine, Im a good housekeeping reader already) but ofcourse, im a more of a wise shopper than the spend all girl. Since Im the wife, I do handle all the budgeting and spending. My budget are divided in paying the electric bill, water bill, phone bill, cellphone bill, credit cards, groceries and other minor things. Before when we were newly married, I got problems in budgeting our earnings, which end up in having no money at all before the next pay day come (gastadora talaga ko). Hubby then taught me on how to budget our money. He is the thrifty kind of person and I’m not. He taught me to have a couple of envelopes where I will write the the bills that I have to pay. So during payday, I put money in the envelopes, let say 700 pesos for the elctric bill, so on the next payday, I should complete our monthly payment for the electric bill. I do the same on the other monthly bills that I have to pay. It’s very effective for me.
As a wise shopper, I do make it a point that I find a supermarket where the groceries are at a competitive price and has clean environment. I shop twice a month for meat, vegetables, dry goods, bread and juices. I’ve done shopping at some major supermarket here at Q.C. and among the supermarkets I’ve been, it’s Shopwise Cubao which I loved and enjoy. Why do I enjoy shopping at Shopwise? Purely because, it has a big and clean selling area. They also have an ample aisle space and not to mention, the very clean and fresh smelling meat/fish section that they have. The parking is a no problem to shopper too. Aside from having a covered secure parking slots, shopper can also enjoy a free parking for a minimun purchase of 300 pesos. It also have a long shopping hours from 10 am to 11pm not like other shops that only stay up till 9pm or 10 pm.
Oh hubby bought this Kyowa Steam grill, its like a george foreman grill but a much cheaper. I don’t know if kyowa brands are okay buy I find the the stem grill efficient. It cooks our porkchops very tasty and it has a flavor reservoir which collect all the fat and grease from the grilled food. The collected oil can be used as a dip if added with some herbs and seasoning (which I don’t intend to do ha). Since hubby loves grilled foods, he can now enjoy, this dishes which are fat free and not to mention the non smoke cooking.
