6 more days and It’s Christmas. Sorry if I havent updated the past days. I’m seriously been going to the gym for the past 3 weeks. Doing the treadmill for 30 minutes and doing some weight lifting really helps me a lot. Imagine nde na ako madaling hingalin and hindi na rin ako madaling mapagod. The other week nga hubby and I was at divi, siguro mga 4-5 hrs kaming naglalakad pero ha, hindi na ko reklamador na masakit na ang aking mga paa. Hindi na rin ako madaling hingalin if Im using the foot bridge….yebah…ayos di ba
Speaking of Divi, it’s been 2 weeks na yata since we bought the RC cars na ibibigay namin sa mga inaanak na boys pero up to now, I havent finish wrapping them buti na lang I bought 4 RC cars sa malls at pina gift wrap ko na lang to save time and money na rin. Then hubby wanted to have a RC too kaya ayun I told him to pick his choice. Akalain…..yung naka gift wrap pa ang pinili nya. So ayun I gave him a wrapped box. Kaya I put a dedication na lang sa gift tag and told him na thats my gift to him na lang this Christmas.
…..Pero syempre I lied, hehehe

we bought this at a fruitstand sa nova
Skipped work today…
Because I woke up late. Imagine I wake up at 7:55am.I actually wake up at 5:45am and leave home at about 6:20am. So obviously very late na ko for work. Ayoko naman mag half day kasi yesterday half day na ko, he he he.
Anyway…since balak ko naman mag leave from work sa Friday dahil I need to apply for registration information update sa BIR. Requirement kasi ito sa office namin na i-transfer ang registration address namin which in my case is RDO 28 (Novaliches) to RDO 47 Makati naman ito. Dapat di ba sila na nag aayos nito kaso sa office namin, we do it personally. Kaya ayun, decided na asikasuhin na lang ito para hindi naman sayang pag absent ko.
I asked my sister to accompany me, because Im not totally familiar with the place (Novaliches). But before we left, she called her office kasi dun sila sa nova district office nag-uupdate. Yun nga lang, wala yung person na alam yung exact place, basta her officemate said, near daw ito sa ganito and ganyan. Buti na lang sister knows a little sa place. Well im very thankful that after what sister’s been through she’s now ok and happy. By the way she’ll be celebrating her birthday 2 weeks from now. Happy birthday bunso and love you ![]()
Back to my story, we left the house at 11:30am. We took a jeepney and reached the nova mall at around 12:15pm. Im very thankful talaga ke sister dahil sinamahan nya ko. Then a 5-minutes walk brought us to another jeepney stop and took another ride. Sister asked the driver to drop us at this certain builing. It was really traffick. It took us another 45 minutes and we reached the place. Sister and I was so happy because we found the BIR office, yipeee.
Kaso…the office transfered to a new building na….kaloka di ba….
They transfered last Oct. 1 pa daw. Told myself kasalanan ng BIR ito…I tried calling them to know their address. Kaso no one answered. I even send email asking for their location atleast nalaman ko na lumipat na pala sila…kaso it’s been weeks na no reply pa rin…hay….
We did get their new address and hailed a taxi…Sa mindanao avenue sila lumipat. Mas lalong kaloka kasi yung novaliches na old place nila is malapit lang sa mindanao avenue….eh yung mindanao avenue eh 2- short jeepney ride from our place. Di ba…So ang nangyari, umikot pa kami ng napakalayo, instead na yung shorter travel ang ginawa namin eh napalayo pa kami…hay…pero sige ok lang, hindi rin naman ako nainip kasi I was with my sister and chikahan galore pa kami. ![]()
Ayun…after submitting my BIR form, we went home. Mga 30 minutes nasa bahay na kami ![]()

We had our first chatmas party (christmas party for chatters) yestarday morning at Mcdo the Fort. It was nice to meet the faces behind those names I chatted for years na rin. Though we were late the party hasn’t started yet. It was a short party but hubby and I had fun. Thank you, thank you sa nag organize ng masayang party na ito ![]()
After the party, husband and I went at Metro Market Market. We headed at the gift shop area to scout for any possible gifts for hubby’s kris kringle. Then I found myself, buying gift wrappers & some cutie chains for my friends. Holy molly…am I having the christmas spirit now? I guess yes, hurray
Then I bought christmas card to send to friends. I know Im a bit late but keeping my fingers cross that they will received it before the year ends. ![]()
And since the christmas bug bits me, I wrote santa a letter for my Christmas wish list. I know, I’d been good this year so Im hoping to see him on his sleigh this Christmas. The only thing is, we don’t have a chimney, he he he ![]()
Speaking of late…since we were at the mall, I asked hubby if we could watch Harry Potter 4. It was still showing at Market Market. Hubby knew that Im a harry potter fanatic and I was bugging him before pa to watch the movie. Kaso he always says next time na lang with lots of excuses pa. So now, he couldn’t say no to my plea na. ![]()
As expected, I found the movie so magical. It was great and bitin. Hmmmm…can’t wait for the next harry potter, wooohooo

My in-laws visited us last Monday.
Dj asked if I could cook something for them for merienda and dinner. What will it be, hmmmm….I was thinking of Binagoongang baboy which I got from Hanagirl’s kitchen. You got to try her recipe it’s really good. ![]()
But I remembered, I brought this dish last month at their place, so I got to think of another one. Hmmm…
Wait, let me start thinking of merienda muna. Think think think. Aha…It reminded me that I have this yummy pasta dish, which my officemates and friends loved. The chicken mushroom pasta. Since they will arrive at 3:30pm , guess this pasta recipe will serve as their merienda.
Now for dinner, I’ll let them taste my beef caldereta. By the way, Wifely Steps has her grandpa’s recipe of caldereta posted in her blog. I’ll definitely try that one too. It’s better to learn and know different version of dishes right.
For the beef caldereta, you’ll need…
1k beef
2 cups coconut milk
2 cans of tomatoes sauce (I didn’t use the whole thing, about a can and a half)
Potatoes (quartered)
3 red bell pepper
1 can liver spread
Grated cheese
TJ hotdog (my favorite)
Salt
Crushed pepper
Olives
Crushed chili flakes
Now…
With the help of the pressure cooker, boil the beef with enough amount of water plus the two cups of coconut milk. Make sure that the liquid covers the beef. Boil for at least 35-40 minutes or until the meat is tender. Set aside the broth. Then cut the beef into cubes and fry. Set aside. Fry the quartered potatoes. Then set aside too.
In a separate pan, drizzle some oil and sauté the garlic & onions. Then add the beef. Stir-fry for a while. Then add the tomato sauce and hotdog. Mix for a while and add the beef broth (with gata). Simmer for 5 minutes. Then add the potatoes, olives, liver spread, bay leaf and bell pepper. Simmer for 3 minutes. Turn of the heat and throw-in the grated cheese. Let it melt. Done. Easy, isn’t it. ![]()

My in-laws just love it ![]()

Finally…now Im blogging using myDSL Internet connection. ![]()
It really is a big convenience. I surf the net faster compared to the dial-up connection I’ve been using for years and I can connect to the Internet without keeping our phoneline busy. Isn’t that great. The only thing is…I experienced selective browsing since Sunday. Selective browsing is where you can only access some sites on the net. Meaning, you cannot browse all the sites, like in my case I cannot access my blog, gmail, and other blogspot site. I called 172375 almost everyday to report. I’ve been doing that since Monday. It really suck calling their DSL repair, imagine, I was keep on hold for 15-30 minutes. If not only I need to follow up my report, I won’t waste my time in waiting. Hay.
Before our phone was a Bayantel line but a month ago, we decided to switch to PLDT since we trust more of their DSL rather than other broadband services. Hope I didn’t made a mistake with this. It’s been twice na kasi that I experienced such problem. The first one was last week (by the way, we were just connected last week , lang). It was then fixed after 4 days. I though it was okay na. Then last Monday after I arrived from work, I noticed I cannot browse some site again. It’s sucking really. Anyway, I was kind of happy now because I can access my blog again (including the other sites I can’t access before). Hoping that they have fixed my connection for real. Crossing my fingers ![]()

Im here at work today. The designing team is still discussing the project so Im here waiting for the inputs they will provide. Im bored so I took a picture of my little working space.

Thank goodness for digicams. In times where myself is a bit bored, I find it relaxing to take pictures of anything. At this moment I have a kodak 3.1 megapixel but I do wanted to have an IXUS or an Exilim. Oh well, that is If I find a way to convince hubby. He aims to have a digital videocam before 2005 ends. On the second thought, taking video is also exciting. I have this software for editting video. I tried editting some family video and it was addicting. Hmmm…I guess have to convince hubby to buy both, he he he.

A wedding and a reunion September 10, 2004
Posted by jeanny in Click Moments, Spices in Life.add a comment
Yesterday we (my mom, my father, auntie M, auntie O, Uncle L, grandma,2 cousins and my favorite nice Katkat) went to a wedding, the wedding of Jerame & Joy, Joy is my 2nd cousin whom I met for the first time just yesterday. I’m not really close to her. Its my parents and her parents who are close and were childhood playmates during their younger years. Actually, its more of a family reunion to me. I meet cousins and aunties and tito’s whom I’ve never seen in my entire life.
The wedding mass was held at Immaculate Concepcion Parish at Pasig City. When the mass was over, they started to chat and mingle with one another. My uncle L keep on introducing me and my cousins to our other relatives. There was a scene that my father (Lets call him Daddy J), and one of his cousin whom last seen each other during gradeschool days pa, meet at that occasion after 5 decades. His cousin, start shedding tears, those were tears of joy as she explained.
There’s also this incident that my Uncle L was talking to one cousin . . , so she asked where his wife(Aunt M) was, This cousin don’t actually know who Aunt M is. So Uncle L, pointed to the lady (Aunt M) with a minty green blouse who is behind me. So his cousin approached me and asked in a confused voice:
C: ikaw ba asawa ni Leo?
(are you Leo’s wife).
Jen: Ah nde po…mashado ko bata sa kanya. Uncle ko po sya.
(Ah no Im not, Im too young for him, he’s my uncle)
Im his daughter (pointing to my father)C ah ganun ba.(Oh I see)
Then I smiled and hold her right hand and make mano to her.
At the reception, the chatting and mingling didn’t stop. Everyone was so happy and glad to see us. Then one aunt commented that I look like Aiko Melendez (mataba kc ako eh, he he he). Then one aunt keep on hugging and kissing me, then one uncle asked for my cell no. I was like star.
In all the wedding celebration I attended, this wedding is what I call intimate. All close family, relatives and some friends are invited. I really had a great time. I didn’t regret in skipping my work yesterday. I had a chance to meet my other families. Gee Daddy J’s clan is so big huh.
Oh by the way, I also enjoyed the food. It what terrific.
Have a nice weekend to all!
