Chinese Fix at North Park

I have always loved Chinese food kaya after that bad experiene with this chinese fastfood,  I was really in dismay. Why you may asked…

Because whenever I have this craving over chinese food, that Imbyerna Fastfood  is my fix. But after of that bad experience, I promised my self not to set foot on that branch (infront of farmer’s Cubao) again and slowly trying to avoid to eat in all it’s branches.  Yun na!

Anyway, as I’ve said, I would always love chinese food, kaya last week hubz and I had dinner at North Park.

Because it was raining that time, we opted to have noodles.

Left was my bowl of Nanking Beef & Aniseed Beef Tendon.   The soup is amazing. You could really taste the beef in the soup. The Nanking beef and Beef Tendon (litid) was tender and flavorful. I loved it. With this soup you could never go wrong.  The other serving was Hubz choice, Fresh Prawn Dumpling & Nanking Beef . According to him, it tasted really good. Like the noodle soup I had, he enjoyed the hefty serving. :-)

Hubz also ordered chicken feet.

Well, I am not a fan of chicken feet. So he finished everything.  Masarap siguro kasi naubos nya.

We don’t usually order any drinks except water. It added fullness sa tummy kasi but, there is this drink that captured my attention so I ordered a glass of cold Chrysanthemum Juice.

After my first sip, I just made a mental note, not to try the Cold Chrysanthemum Juice ever again, quite a waste of excitement. It tasted like brown sugar dissolved in cold water hahaha.

Then after 2 days we went back to North Park to have dinner again, I just cant get enough. This time, we had a full dinner, as in full talaga.

We had fried rice with special sauce.  I think this is the most budget-friendly item in the North Park Menu. Priced 203 pesos, it includes a huge serving of fried rice that can be good for 3 people, and the sauce to be served separate from the rice, can be your viand already. The sauce has sliced mushrooms, asado strips, fish cakes, and vegetable in there.  Actually I did not know that this would a big serving so I ordered more…takaw!

Left… is the lechon macau.  The skin was really, really crunchy and the meat was deep fried, cholesterol pero how can I resist such goodness. :-)

at the right naman  is my personal favorite Fried Beancurd Skin w/ Shitake Mushroom in Soy Sauce.   I love tofu kasi, though this dish is just like fried tofu, yun nga lang, eto yung skin ng tofu, deep fried then topped with shitake mushroom. Masarap pa rin sya sa akin. :-)

Overall, we had our tummies filled, warm, and happy. Cannot wait to comeback to try their other dishes. :-)

  4. bursky

ate here once palang and the rice + fish & tofu was a great combo for us! sulit yung presyo sa flavor (though i feel sobra sa MSG yung ibang dishes)! the ambience was a bit fastfood-y dati because there were so many people. maybe it just shows na masarap talaga yung food. :) will try to be brave and try the chicken feet one time, testing how different it is from the streetfood we have.

  5. everything looks good. pero i do not like chicken feet din, yay! nakakagutom ang photos mo!

  6. i want that soup please. uhmm…looks yummy. ginutom mo ako lalo sistah.

anyway, buti naman you’re not totally “out” of eating chinese food. don’t let one bad experience dampen the joy of eating chinese food! ;)

  10. i like north park too. we usually order chicken feet and the spareribs. kala ko after your experience with that resto you’ll never try any soup at all.
