Food for the god (date and walnut bar) is a great recipe to bake during the holidays. The delightful blend of dates and walnuts, molasses and hint of liquor, reminds me of fruit cake minus the fruit glaze and a bit simplier yet yummy in taste.
Anyway..it’s my first time to bake it last Saturday and the result…it was dense, fruity, nutty and it smells like Christmas. Perfect for the holiday mornings!
