Do superheroes exist?
As a youngster, I fancied to be a superhero like wonder woman. A lady wearing a sexy superhero costume flying her invisible jet or like superman saying up up and away!!!!….. ha ha ha.
My older cousin said I’m such a dork believing that for real…. superhero things are just make believe according to him. I find myself crying while my not so kind cousin, keeps on teasing me. Oh well, those were kids stuff. When I became older, I then realized that my cousin was indeed right. Wonder woman and superman were make believe characters and superheroes are the ones watched on TV alone.
Couple of years had gone by I forgot all about the superhero thing!
Until….
There was this old lady walking down the street, a young guy approached her, held her hand and help her cross the street. What a gent, I told myself …
Couple of nights ago while inside the car, it was raining very hard, I saw this lady covering herself with a jacket. She was really getting wet when this other lady offered to share her umbrella with her. So generous. I wonder if they became friends.
Then the other day while hubz and I were inside a fast food, we saw a can (used as a piggy bank) with printed pphotograph of a kid who looks very sick. My heart melted, I grab some money inside my pocket and slide all of it in the tiny opening of the can. I then said….
“hope this helps and somehow will make him happy”
then hubby whispered in a soft voice…..
“it will surely make him fine.”
I then remember what my cousin said before…..
I must agree that wonder woman and superman were just a make believe characters but real superhero do exist, in our own little way of making others happy.

This was an entry I wrote 4 years ago. I was about to make a new one for Witsandnuts birthday contest but this one has a special meaning of happiness for me.

thanks for the analogy, i have never seen it that way! you are correct sistah, the real superheroes are real people who do not need superpowers to make a difference in someone else’s life. ^-^

Ok, so I nearly fell out of my chair when I read this because when I was a little girl, ya know how your mom tells you, “You can be anything you want to be when you grow up!” – I had it all planned out, I was going to be WONDER WOMAN! I remember spinning around in my yard like she did to transform herself. LOL! Jeanny, this is the sweetest post and it brought back memories. I also love the way you correlated it to what super heroes are in real life. It doesn’t take much to be a super hero and if everyone acted as you do- it’d be such a better world to live in
xoxoxo I am taking a picture of my keychain right now and posting about it. May I link to this blog post about Wonder Woman? Please let me know, k? Love to you and yours!
