I love coffee – its s part of my daily morning life. My mornings aren’t complete without coffee. If I just want to have my daily doze of caffeine, 3 in 1 coffee would be fine but when I’m so sleepy and sleazy to start my day then it’s a cup of freshly brewed barako coffee.

I’m a bit sleepy today so this was my fix - Kapeng barako.
Hubz bought that coffee press at Quiapo (he really know what will make me happy lolz) for a cheap price of 300php. Though we have a coffee maker, I opted to use my coffee press. I really dont know why but brewing my coffee using it give my cup a more satisfying taste. :)
If you want a step by step instruction on how to use a coffee press and to make a great cup of coffee you can visit this site I found.
Now, got a question. What goes with kapeng barako?
eh di Pandesal!

here I prepared scrambled eggs and pandesal
Pandesal cannot get any more Pinoy than it already is. It has been part of each Filipino household through the years. It’s no doubt that many Filipino love having this bread from their favorite panaderia anytime of the day.
Well, I love buying mine at Pan de Manila. I always buy the bigger pandesal at 5.50php. The pandesal from the bakery near our house shrunk to teeny bite sizes kasi lolz. I remembered when I was a kid, the pandesal was huge that can fill my tummy. So I’m letting those memory stays. I go for the bigger ones.
Happy Wednesday! It’s a busy day for me. I am sure a great tasting cup of coffee and a warm piece of bread would make me feel fine throughout the day!

Miss ko na ang kapeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Sakto yang pandesal! Take your scrambled eggs to a new level by adding herbs (basil, thyme, oregano), a bit of onion, and lots tomatoes.
Sounds very, very good…
Nothing better than the smell of barako coffee and the taste of pandesal in the morning ^_^ I can’t wait to get to the Philippines!
i like my coffee with pan de sal with cream cheese and spanish sardines =)
Guess what? Odette sent me some coffee from the Philippines! I haven’t used any yet because I’m saving it for a very special occasion. I’ve never used a coffee press but it sounds like the coffee turns out way better than with a traditional brewer! What goes with it? Any type of cake… or chocolate- LOL! Enjoy!
Like KG, I’m not very fond of coffee also. But I occasionally sip on frapuccinos. I remember I was tempted to get a coffee press from Starbucks before I went here.
i love coffee but not an addict. i just love its soothing taste specially when it’s cold. so ill definitely be drinking lots of this during the weekend in sagada.
Wow sarap! Kaso nagpa-palpitate ako sa coffee. So instead I dip my pandesal in hot cocoa, yung gawa sa tablet. sigh… I miss doing that lalo na pag tag-ulan at medyo malamig…
sis! i was screaming, “ensaimada!” when i saw your pan de sal pics. lalo akong nagutom. waaah! ang mahal ng pandesal sa tokyo. di pa fresh. hmp!
really? 300 pesos only? hehe. hope i can also find something like that!
have you tried dipping the pandesal in the coffee? tastes good!
gusto ko na din yatang bumili ng french press! *inggit* gutom pako! enge naman niyan.
ahehehe…
would you believe I don’t drink coffee? but i love its aroma!
and i too love pandesal! good morning jeanny!
