One famous restaurant here in the Philippines is Max’s Restaurant which started during the World War II.
I remembered the story behind this restaurant was aired on tv last 2005 in Maalaala Mo Kaya. Because of the owner’s true Filipino values, his restaurant became more successful not only here but outside the country.
So anyway, aside from their famous fried chicken, Max’s continues to provide more exciting dining experiences to each Filipino food lover with its newly innovated main dishes and appetizers . The last time we were there(with my sparring partner of course – the husband) they have the Max’s Crisp Tinapa Dumplings, Pinaputok na Tiyan ng Bangus, Gambas Con Aligue and……
their sizzling tofu!!!!

We love Tofu dishes, therefore we absolutely had to try Max’s Sizzling Tofu. It was creamy, a bit spicy and sizzling delectability making eat pieces of tofu real tasty.
Have not try the first three, but for sure on our next visit, we will have those.

Tinapa dumplings?! Intriguing!!! Parang gusto ko nyan. Sounds like a healthier alternative to the usual pork.

makabalik nga, buti nalang si papa piolo ang endorser nila haha
I love Max’s too!! But Garandee’s not too crazy about it. Thanks for posting this sizzling tofu dish, now i think I have something to order for her next time we visit. Hopefully this changes her mind about Max’s!

If you’re into tofu, try Sentro’s sizzling tofu too. Sarap din.
Aside from the chicken, I love Max’s’ Champorado. Kumpleto ang mornings kapag nakakakain ako ng champorado ng Max’s.

i am definitely a huge Max’s fan. i can’t wait to go back to hawaii and taste their sisig and fried chicken again.
wow sizzling tofu hmmm i’ll try that. i love max’s chicken. i remember when i ate at their branch in park square and i ordered for 1 regular chicken and the waiter said that the chicken is good for 4-6 person. And we were just 2. actually, i will be the one who will eat the chicken. so you can just imagine the look of the waiter’s face when he found it out hehehe.
We’re fond of eating at Max’s too. I love their crab rice, kare-kare and their chicken of course.
I will try that sizzling tofu next time.
