The cabinet that was made with love.
My father (who is good in carpentry) assembled everything from pieces of woods and nails….the husband on the other hand was the one who coated (the exterior) it with varnish and spend his money for the materials
. Hubz promised to do the final touches (interior) very very soon when he has ample time.
I am lucky to have these men in my life. They are always there to fix stuffs for me. ….Thank you very much for being too caring
Now….let me show you what is my current favorite flavoring inside that cabinet.
Tada!!!!!
Peppermint, it’s so Christmas!

Maybe you want to make your own Christmas Mint Cookies. I am sure you’ll love it!

We’re both blessed. My Dad is also a great handyman to have at home. I’m happy to have found a husband who is also great in fixing stuff in our home.
Those cookies look yummy indeed!
my father also assembles stuff from wood! and his works are flawless, you wouldn’t see rough edges, etc. it’s really nice to have men such as these in our lives. we’re lucky.
hey! let’s trade links!
Yeah we are so lucky. Sure sure….I’ll update my links
Hi Jeany.
Nice! I wish our kitchen cabinet was also that organized. hee hee…
One thing i realized after being married for just a month, besides carpentry, here are some more expectations that come with my new title of “Husband”: Plumbing, Electrical, IT support, and food reviews.
I have a tall wood cabinet that my father-in-law made for me years ago. He passed away in October and I am so glad to have it. I keep all my cookbooks in it. Every time I look at it I think of him.
Those cookies look so good. Yummy!!!
I love handmade furniture
They’re full of thoughts and musings. My grandfather was a Swiss carpenter and I enjoy sitting in workshops. The smell of wood and carving things out of it is great!
My grandfather was a carpenter, and my father used to help him when he was in high school. One day pangarap ko rin maging karpintero. I love using their power tools!
my dad in law makes one of a kind furniture too so i know the feeling! we are very lucky, indeed!
Yummy! Its amazing what you can create with what’s in your cupboard. What good work your dad and your hubs made. Very nice.
Hi Jeanny,
Oh, it’s a nice cabinet for your stuff! Naalala ko tuloy ang tatay ko…(I’m a papa’s girl) he also has a hand in carpentry. Ganun naman ata ang mga tatay, parating nanjan sa mga anak nilang babae. We’re so lucky to have them in our life.
Btw, I like the new look of your site (I’m referring to the Christmas tree in your header) ..Christmas na christmas ang dating.
Merry Christmas to you my friend!
i live with my sister and her family but her hubby is an OFW so most of the time he’s out, the light in my room broke months ago pa and no man around to fix it… kakatkot kc mag hire ng electrician now a days eh, ayon i used my lamp n lang.
share namn ng christmas cookies
Oh I love that cabinet Jeanny, very nice, my hubby has carpenter hands as well, but he’s a lazy bee when it comes to that… Enjoy baking and be sure to send some… hahah, pwede kaya? Ingats!
christmas is so near… another yummy cookies! panakaw ng ilang piraso ha. hehehehe
you are indeed lucky to have your father assembled the cabinet for you and of course the hubby who helped and spent the money for that.
It’s nice Jeanny -and a nice place to store all of your baking necessities. Is that an Oreo I see? Hm… I think I’d rather have one of your peppermint cookies though
Isn’t it the best when your dad makes something for you? It’s just something so special that cannot be replaced… nice that your huz helped out too- yes, you are very lucky!
i’d also love to try my skills in carpentry one day. I like making things. gusto ko ang bahay ko puro “home-made”.
nice cookies. i’ll try that, and as per dyosa’s suggestion, red and green…in time for Christmas!
have a great weekend jeanny!
i’m still thinking of what kind of cookies to bake next. i like peppermint with chocolate. i might try to do that. make sure that cabinet that love built is never empty. it’s a wonderful gift to have wonderful people around you.
A cabinet that love built. =) I’ll ask my cousin who loves to bake to try your recipe this christmas.
Wow! Very colorful! Maganda yan kapag puro red and green lang para Paskong-pasko. Hehe. Penge ako. Hihi.
