Dinner served!

Filipinos usually love eating rice. Like my husband, he cannot stand the day without eating rice especially during dinner. Whenever I gave him choices whether sandwhich or rice, he will pick the last.

In my case, I love eating sandwhiches. I can eat them three times a day for weeks. Whenever husband cannot go home for dinner, I just fitted myself a hefty sandwich.

But…..

For today it was different!

Hubz sought something “light” for dinner.
Then for a second, it briskly flashed on my mind what are inside our fridge;
Chicken fillet, tomatoes, cucumber, lettuce and ciabatta bread!

aha…got it I know what to prepare.

I told him…..sandwich for dinner and with that he said OKAY!!!

Whooo…I cannot believed it!!!! He wanted my favored sandwhich. :)

So for tonight I readied Grilled Chicken in Ciabatta Bread!

after his first bite, the man gave the thumbs up for the splendid treat! Yehey! :)

Guess sandwhiches will be a regular on our table during “light” dinner days!

Oh what’s your favorite light meal by the way?

  1. Jeanny! I’ve loved reading all of your recent entries, they make me want to cook something wonderful for my family. I have the next 4 days off and I plan on doing JUST THAT! Sorry, I haven’t been around. That sandwich looks mighty good! I love that you put cucumbers on there, probably tastes wonderful :)

  2. That sandwich looks delicious. Because my son-in-law is part Japanese we eat tons of rice. He only used to eat sticky rice but now I cook jasmine rice and he likes it and I like it better than the sticky rice.

    We have rice at least 4 times a week.

    The Ciabatta Bread looks really good. I make my daughter a sandwich everyday for her lunch. I think I will try that bread for her for a change.

  3. i love grilled chicken fillet in a sandwich!
