More things that excites me September 10, 2008

Every time I’m at Gateway Mall, I never forget to visit Gourdo’s either to buy something or just plain window shopping. I love looking at their stuffs, from kitchenware, bake wares, cookbooks and other cooking and baking needs.
So this rainy evenings while I was waiting for the husband from work, I had the ample time to visit that shop.

From time to time, I check if the spring form pan is available. You see this kind of pan is essential in baking cheesecake. Since I do not have the one, I still manage to use an alternative pan but hey, I want a more accurate baking. For the nth time the pan is still not available. I suppose I will be buying that online very very soon.

Now since the pan is not yet ready, I just checked other items. At the mid part of the store, on sale items are being displayed. So I checked and checked and checked…..after a hour and a half of staying in that small branch I was holding an orange plastic bag with many goodies. “dance dance clap clap”

When I arrived home, I was so itchy to bake but opted not to and just let the excitement lingers with me until the weekend. So there, I am looking forward for another yummy Saturday and Sunday. :)
Here are the baking goodies I bought by the way;

A box of Wilton Parchment Triangles, I did get another box since it’s a buy one take one treat
3 Wilton Icing pastes, original price was 120 pesos each but got it for 70 per bottle
3 packs of wilton blues clues baking cups which were also on sale.
An oven thermometer
A large tip coupler and a Wilton 1M Star Tip

Can’t wait to try all these goodies. Yeah I am happy!!!!!

BUT….

The happiness is not complete until I am sure that this tad be okay. Hang in there kiddo. We, your family are praying for you.

Oh boy….

I’ve never got to check Gateway so often when I’m still there. But did go to Trinoma several times. Btw, I hope your nephew will be well soon with God’s grace. I’ll be praying for him.

We were at Gateway last Thursday. The wife also bought some baking stuff. Goodluck on your baking this weekend! I’m sure it will be a hit!

Wow, Jeanny… when i was in high school, we had this vocational subject of our own choice, and guess what i chose? Culinary arts, and oh boy, it was hard for me, it was exciting though. I guess i just love to eat, and not bake… I am so happy for you. When I chance upon going to Luzon, i will bite that offer of a meet-up and you promised to bake for me!

Hahaha, happy day for you dearie.

I too love Gourdo’s—-their prices are so reasonable. I’ve only been to their Gateway branch once, and by far, it’s the biggest I’ve seen. I usually go to their very tiny Glorietta and ATC branches.
Promise, natutuliro ako every time pupunta ako sa Gourdo’s. So many equipment, so little time (and money, hehehe)! Have you been to their houseware store, Sleepcare? It’s another store I utterly love. They sell very cheap journals, recipe books, AMAB pillows, super plush towels…hay, I can go on and on.
