Got the result of my biopsy It’s confirmed, the lump/tumor is known as Fibroadenoma. I’ve asked my doctor what’s the cause of having this. According to him, it’s basically related with our estrogen hormonal fluctuation. I’m not really familiar with the medical terms so sorry if I cannot really explain what my doctor said, hehehe. The only thing I remembered, it’s not really cancer related but the tumor can only be remove through surgical operation and if this kind tumor be taken for granted it grows bigger that will surely infect the breast causing the removal of the infected breast (ouch) and in some other cases when the tumor is removed, development of another tumor likely happens. So he advice me to preform a regular breast self-exam. I’m so glad that it’s not that serious but still, I’ll be more aware now. Girlfriends, I’m encouraging you too to do the self examination, if ever you feel something, do ask medical advice from your doctor so you know what to do. As the old saying goes “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.”

By the way…my aunt’s left breast was removed last year because of the big C….but she’s a survivor and living a normal life now. Thank God :)

Cancer Awareness

Let’s all be aware!!!

HI, Jeanny, I had the same results. I think it’s normal and it’s better kung mapaalis mo agad or napaalis mo na?

Normal??? I really dont know if it’s normal, basta according to my doctor…it should not be taken for granted kasi nga it grows bigger daw….ayun…mahirap na di ba.

It is sometimes sad to know that women fear of getting breast cancer but do not make the effort to conduct their monthly breast self examination. I have also been emphasizing to my wife the importance of it and with proper breast self examination, one could hopefully detect the lumps while it is still small.
